The mission of Divine Grace Medical Missionaries, Inc. is to strengthen the capacity of low-income families in the Houston metropolitan area to become self- sufficient through a long-term model of programs and services specifically designed to: (1) impact and offset poverty and hunger; and (2) influence and counteract intergenerational behavior in order to achieve successful and healthy lives. We are committed to addressing these issues through programs that focus on: (1) literacy and education; (2) health and wellness; (3) Basic Human Needs; (4) skill acquisition, and; (5) job training.
Additionally, our mission involves responding to disasters throughout Houston, Nigeria, Haiti, and the Philipines, providing medicine, medical supplies, and health care.
Our plans for the future are considerable and significant! Divine Grace is seeking for partners that will help us to purchase a facility for our Multi-services in southwest Houston. Our plan is to purchase a space so that we will have ample room for our current programs and activities and will be able to expand them going forward. In addition to housing our current and expanded programs, we will open a free community clinic and a shelter for women and children. The Clinic will offer services for uninsured and low-income families and individuals. The shelter will include a daycare for the children and office space for the women to start businesses, in effect, becoming entrepreneurs. We are just now kicking off our capital campaign to make the purchase and begin renovations.
