SUMMER PROGRAM

The summer programs target youths in grades 6-12 in the junior high school, and pre-K to grade 5 from disadvantaged families seeking for meaningful activities during the summer months. Most of the youths cannot afford to enroll in the YMCA or any paid summer programs in their community.
School/Community Garden:
The objective of this program is to give the children the opportunity of decision using the resources of outdoor nature. By creating an outdoor environment, our children can go out and actually learn and enjoy themselves as a benefit to human well-being that nature provides. With the help of an elderly lady which has been familiar with gardening since her childhood years, our task to educate our youngster on environmental care. The children will start of by learning how planting flowers and growing vegetables will beautify and benefit in many different ways. By planting and transplanting and using scraps from the vegetables already grown, the children will notice how everything in landscaping is similar to our circle of life. From watching or observing how small plants too huge trees provide clean air for children to breath to beautifying the community, as well as to choosing what type of vegetable crop they would like to harvest.

We provide professional development training to youths, women, and children that need warm, safe, and stimulating environments that lead to healthy development and constructive learning. Providing support for professional development activities can help programs increase the quality of the services in addition to obtaining or maintaining health mentor program
